The fruit on the palate of this sparkling rose is led by raspberry with strawberry and floral notes of rose. The acidity is cooperative throughout, with a refreshing finish of pomegranate.
The wine has excellent ripe fruit extraction and yet at the same time presents a pleasant lightness appropriate in the Blanc de Noir.
In 1992 the Schmitz family bought Hoopenburg wines, and went about establishing a quality driven boutique wine farm. With beautiful views from Table Mountain to Simonsberg, good soils and cool afternoon breezes the location is perfect for premium wine production. The Hoopenburg estate is unique in South Africa where 100% of the grapes are produced from low yielding bush vines. Nourished by pure underground water, the unique bush vines produce grapes of exceptional taste and flavour. The moderate climate of the area combined with the good soils helps to produce top quality grapes and wines across all three of the Hoopenburg ranges.
